The Hudson Valley Roller Hockey League would like to recognize the Pearl River Raptors 18U team as the recipients of the first annual Don Joyce Memorial Sportsmanship Award. This award was named for League Commissioner Don Joyce who passed away in April. The award is given to the team that best exemplifies sportsmanship during the HVRHL playoffs. The Pearl River team was recognized by both the Board and referees for their sportsmanship while playing in the most competitive division in the HVRHL. Accepting the award for Pearl River was Joe Pennisi (on the left) and Brandon Harrington (on the right). Congratulations to the entire Pearl River team and their coach, James McElligott! |
