If you want be a referee for the Hudson Valley Roller Hockey League, complete the form (see sidebar on the left of this page) and contact the Referee-in-Chief (see the Contact Information page) to submit your paperwork.

All refs are required to have USA Hockey Inline Level 1 Certification at a minimum.

A list of all referees eligible to officiate a game for the HVRHL are distributed to league representatives during the season. Please contact the Referee-in-Chief (see the Contact Information page) if any questions.

All refs are being instructed to look carefully for the following:

- 3rd Man in on all fights. We expect you to see it and call it.

- Sticking

- Being "worked" by either coaches or parents. This means that you must advise both coaches to cease any such reaction to either penalties called, or not called. Parents should be asked to stop, or leave the rink.

- Cursing. Enforce the mouthguard rule to eliminate this.

- Equipment checks, including helmets and sticks.

- Refs must not be on the rink during a game, or at the half           playing with a stick and/or puck.
